I had been looking for this exact type of a dress for a long while, so when I happened upon it in the clearance section on an evening out I couldn't resist - even if it was too big and I was without a sewing machine. On my trek to Ohio near the holidays, after these pictures were taken, my mother did me a great favor and made the alterations for me. It was the perfect addition to my fall wardrobe - but of course it will never be limited to one season.

Fall is a beautiful time of year when bright colors and crunching leaves play in the roads and sidewalks all around. Boats are wrapped to prepare for winter's cold breath, and the streets begin to thin out. This was one of the last true fall days we had in the midst of early November. I'd say I miss autumn, but I find myself admiring every season more and more - perhaps it is just nature in itself I admire. 

Outfits like these have become a staple of mine, easy to pull together in a moment and weather appropriate for whatever the season is kicking at my door. I find they are the best for adventures - and that, of course, is the best kind of clothing: the adventure kind!

This little hillside has been in photos before. Its beauty seemed magnified when autumn came and I could hardly stay away.The outfit was put together to document the shirt before I donated it. I've had it for years and more recently realized that I've stopped wearing it. I've been trying, pretty successfully I might add, to downsize my closet. I'm pretty sure that this shirt was one of many that my best friend stole during my year in Europe. It's just that cool of a shirt.

I often reserve a day for doing nothing. I stay at home to read or watch TV. This was supposed to be that day, instead, I felt cooped up where I was and needed to escape and explore. Lucky for me I have a trusty little, blue car who loves adventures as much as I. I found a beautiful spot just in time for magic hour. I wandered and poked and trotted through the mud. It was a lovely evening.
