Star Trek into Darkness

Bajoran Earring: hand me downs. (I come from a family of nerds)

Once before, for Halloween, I shared my star trek uniform, of course then I was wearing my Bajoran nose. For the new star trek movie I embraced the chance to dress up. But even more so, it was a great chance to update my uniform. I made it more form fitting, added the collar, and just generally added details to it. (You can see the earlier version here) 

Unfortunately, at the midnight showing I was the only one dressed up. There were actually very few people at the theater, yet it was a bunch of fun to walk around in the uniform and feel rather cool-like. It reminded me slightly of the scene from Big Bang Theory where they got stranded in their Star Trek uniforms. Of course theirs were first gen and mine is original series. 

I apologize for the quality of the pictures, as I didn't take them until it was a little too dark out. That being said, the lighting made my hair seem really red somehow.

A Bajoran Starfleet Officer

I'll admit it, I'm kind of a sci-fi geek. I used an XXL shirt from Target and made it into a Star Trek uniform. I used this tutorial. I wore fake eyelashes as I wanted to keep the sixties theme. I've always wanted to have a Bajoran nose, but after a while the glue began to itch and made my nose all bright red. I still have some  alterations that need to be done to the costume, like making the neckline lower. I hope that I will get a chance to wear it again, specifically to a star trek convention. Okay, I'm a big sci-fi geek. We aren't even going to get into Doctor Who and all the other obsessions of mine.
