My weekends send me off to my favorite bakery for my chocolate croissants. On the best weather days, obviously even on the muggy ones, I enjoy them in the park. The bakery has closed for the winter, but I can still sit back and recall their deliciousness.

I love so much about these pictures: from my umbrella to my sweater to the fog embracing the harbor. This sweater was rescued from the lost and found at the inn I worked at this summer after a guest declined to have it shipped back. I swiped it up. I had been eyeing it since the moment it showed up. Here's to the little things.

Welcome, Says Maine

If you follow me on Instagram you might have long been aware of my move from Ohio to coastal Maine. It only happened three months ago, almost four, and finally, my blog is a little closer to the present. Maine has been an adventure, as I hoped it would be. In forty-eight hours upon arriving in the state with no job and no place to live I gained both. Now it's mostly settling in and learning about this new world. It's what I enjoy most, learning new ways of life.

Maine is a cooler climate, surrounded by rocky beaches and of course my mermaid side loves this. It's overrun with used bookstores, which my nerd side adores; and it's gorgeous with parks and preserves everywhere . So here begins a new chapter, overwhelmed with Maine sights and thoughts. Welcome to Maine!

Truth be told, I've wanted a clear umbrella for a long, long time and living in a rainy state it seemed like an easy enough purchase to make, but I never managed it. Finally for my birthday a year or so ago, my parents got me one. It's perfect and extremely useful as it's such fun to take pictures in the rain.

The dress I'm wearing is one of my favorites, I haven't tested out my theory, but I'd imagine it's the kind of dress that is flattering on everyone. Plus, it goes lovely with my red hair.

P.S. yes my bumper stick says "my other ride is a dragon." Can you blame me?
