When the Magnolia Trees Bloom

I love Magnolia trees. I have a soft spot in my heart for these. We have one, right alongside our driveway. Every April it's in bloom for a short week, it blooms before the apple trees and the pears. I love the smell when it catches in the air. Unfortunately the flowers don't stay for very long. If you pick them, they go limb rather quick. I knew that if I wanted pictures with the tree in bloom I'd have to be quick. Plus I'd have to face my fears of bees. So if in any of the pictures I look like I'm in fear, I probably am.

Climbing trees, just something I like to do in my spare time. Especially when I have a book to finish reading in said tree. The theme for this outfit was clearly pink, though the decision wasn't conscious at the time. Looking through the pictures it was seriously obvious that everything was pink.

It was actually freezing when these pictures were taken and very windy. I took advantage of the blooming Magnolia tree in our yard for these pictures. The day after these photos were taken it frosted and the blooms were gone. All the same I'm glad I got some pictures before I lost my chance.
