Dark Lips

Outfit Details:
Shirt: Hottopic
Pants & Shoes: Kohls
Necklace: Deja Vu
Purse Charlotte Russe

A more lazy day outfit, but when fitted with some powerful lipstick it seems to take it all up a notch. Plus, as I look back on these pictures, I realize that I was having a really good hair day. Especially since I barely touched it.

Jungle Wear

Outfit Details:
Button up shirt: from my mum's closet
Blue shirt: Rue21
Skirt: made by me
Purse: H & M
Belt: Kohl's
Bracelet & Necklace: Deja Vu
Earrings: Hottopic
Rain boots: Target

When it comes to trambling through fields, it is best to have the right shoes. Rain boots are for muddy exploring shoes. I really like how this outfit seems to reflect a wooded adventure, hopefully somewhere with good cloud coverage and very few mosquitoes. I rather really like the earthy tones at play. In case you haven't noticed, I tend to migrate towards more statement colors. Here, I think the bright blue is the perfect addition to just give a little bit of a pop.

These pictures make me want to watch the Indiana Jones movies again. Not too grand of a leap, I think, perhaps I should find a hat to go with this ensemble. What do you think?

A Walk After the Rain

Outfit Details:
Lace vest: TJmaxx
Dress/Top & Skirt & Belt: Kohl's
Earrings: Hottopic
Necklace: Made by me
Bracelet: Deja Vu
Tights: Target
Shoes: Belgium

Climbing trees, just something I like to do in my spare time. Especially when I have a book to finish reading in said tree. The theme for this outfit was clearly pink, though the decision wasn't conscious at the time. Looking through the pictures it was seriously obvious that everything was pink.

Writing Wednesdays

As I write this I am suffering from the coffee jitters. Believe it or not I have only had one cup of coffee, but drinking coffee on an empty stomach, a really bad idea. I try, about once a week, to get out of the house for some me time. There is this cute cafe that I like to go to, I've taken pictures a bunch of times in their parking lot. (here, here, and here) I call these Writing Wednesdays, while I don't always go on Wednesday, Tuesdays are more likely, I take the time to update my journal, do any work that I have been procrastinating about, take outfit photos, and catch up on emails.

Mainly today I have learned that drinking coffee, no matter how much, on an empty stomach is deadly; and people love a redhead. Seriously, redheads have to stay together, no matter whether they are real or faux.

Outfit Details:
Coat & Belt: Kohl's
Scarf & Jacket: Hottopic-gift
Dress: Ebay
Tights & Shoes: Target
Knitted cap & Purse: Forever21
Necklace: made by me
Bracelet: Deja Vu

So a common faux-pas is redheads dressing in red. I understand where this can be a serious mistake, however I believe what really only matters is the shade of red. My outfit theme was red, white, and black. I also taught a fellow redhead that you can wear red lipstick with red hair.

Okay so I'm getting really jittery, so I should head out and use some of this extra energy before my jitters makes the whole cafe shake.

I've met a duchess

When lacking for words when meeting someone new this is one way to get the conversation going. It is definitely something that people do not expect you to say. Not to brag, but it is true. Of course at the time I had no idea, I found out later. Apparently, they did not want to overwhelm me. I was already overwhelmed, I was speaking a new language, hanging out with people I barely knew, and thrown into a completely different culture.

On a different subject, because I'm still fighting back the sickness and haven't had the chance to take photos yet, I thought I'd post some really old ones. These are from late July/early August. My brother snapped these photos for me. Just a little warning, my true colors come out in these photos

Outfit Details:
Jacket: gift
Shirt: Deja Vu
Skirt: Forever21
Tights: Target
Shoes: Forever21
Necklace & Earrings: gift
Sonic Screwdriver: Amazon (same)

I've mentioned before, briefly, that I love science fiction. Back in the summer when my brother spotted someone with a TARDIS in their yard, I knew I had to get some pictures with it. Being very brave, I'm normally shy, I went to the house and asked if I could take photos with it. Obviously, they said yes.

The inspiration for the outfit came from one of the doctor's companions-Amy Pond. Her outfits tends to consist of mini skirts, tights, leather jackets, and boots. The discovery of the TARDIS was good timing, as just a few weeks earlier I had received my sonic screwdriver in the mail. I'm a geek and I admit it happily.

What are your geek-isms?

These Boots are Made for Kicking

Outfit Details:
Jacket: Hottopic
Leather Jacket: Wetseal
Shirts: Kohl's
Belt: thrifted
Skirt: Wal-mart
Tights & Shoes: Hottopic
Earrings: Rue21
Necklace & Bracelet: Deja Vu
Headband: Forever21

Perhaps these are the first pair of shoes I fell in love with. I call these my Abby boots-as in Abby from NCIS. They were my first splurge and probably the first thing that I really let become apart of my style-knowingly. I still have such a weakness for these shoes. They are scuffed up now and one part is bent in and uncomfortable. All the same, I still love them. Best pair of shoes you ever bought?

'Till next time . . .
