Fall Sun

Outfit Details:
Airforce Jacket: vintage
Shirt: Forever21
Jeans: Jennyfer from Belgium
Shoes: Target
Purse: Marc's
Bracelets: Charming Charlie and from Belgium
Necklace: Forever21
Cat: Oublie & Skittles

I love over-sized shirts with skinny jeans. Plus, the necklace gives the outfit a kind of fancy tinge. This is one of my favorite lazy day outfits. I tend not to photograph these, as they are lazy days. I'm more comfortable in skirts and tights than jeans, which is a big change from just two years ago. I still like jeans for days where I prefer not to have to think about what I am wearing.

It's been amazing the way the weather has been flip flopping around. It was in the thirties a few days ago and it came back up to the fifties today. These were taken on a day it might have reached high sixties, which is unusual for November in the mid-west. But I suppose it will grow cold soon enough, which will test my runner's commitment. Time to stock up on winter coats!

A Walk in the Park

Outfit Details:
Jacket: Wetseal
Shirt: Kohl's
Skirt: Charlotte Russe
Tights: Target
Shoes: from Belgium
Purse & Knitted cap: Forever21
Belt: Body Central
Necklaces: gift
Rings: Charming Charlie's and gift

I love finding new places to take pictures. Parks tend to be my favorite. This happens to be near a nice coffee shop so it's a win-win. For right now I haven't gotten a chance to really explore it, but I plan to. Where are your favorite places to photograph?

I also adore a little bit of bright with mostly black. Maybe it comes from my Gothic days? And while tights with big prints tend to make one's legs look larger, I have to say I love these, especially because they were clearance at Target.

Belgique; Où Mon Cœur Reste

Outfit Details:
Airforce jacket: vintage
Shirt: Forever21
Skirt: lace affair
Tights: target
Shoes: Charlotte Russe
Scarf: from Belgium
Earrings: gift
Rings: vintage
Purse: H & M

I should bring this up at least once. I was an exchange student in Belgium my senior year.  Best life experience ever. Because of that experience I now speak French and dream in French all the time. You might soon notice that my favorite pieces of clothing are from Belgium. The scarf was actually given to me by the people who were in charge of my exchange, every exchange student in the area received one. The purse, which while was from H & M was actually bought at a store in the city I lived in while in Belgium. I bought the largest purse I found so I could fit all my school papers inside.

I love shirts with a revealing back, it has recently become a favorite style. There is something about this outfit that is modern and vintage all at the same time. Perhaps that it why I love it so.

Do you love traveling? My heart belongs to traveling and similar adventures. One day I'm going back to Europe, nothing could stop me.

Shades of Green

Outfit Details
Jacket: Forever21
Purse: Forever21
Shirt: Kohl's
Skirt: Hottopic
Tights: Target
Shoes: from Belgium
Necklace: can't remember
Bracelet: old choker from Claire's, different charm
Air-force sweetheart ring: vintage

One of the best things to do when you don't have the right bracelet is to make a bracelet from a necklace or a belt. This outfit was originally just shades of green, however I took stock and realized that perhaps I shouldn't be so overwhelmingly green like broccoli.

November just might be my favorite month, because of countless reasons. Thanksgiving has always been my favorite holiday, so now the count down begins. But along the same lines the count down begins to when I am no longer a teenage, which is exhilarating and frightening. Happy November!

A Bajoran Starfleet Officer

I'll admit it, I'm kind of a sci-fi geek. I used an XXL shirt from Target and made it into a Star Trek uniform. I used this tutorial. I wore fake eyelashes as I wanted to keep the sixties theme. I've always wanted to have a Bajoran nose, but after a while the glue began to itch and made my nose all bright red. I still have some  alterations that need to be done to the costume, like making the neckline lower. I hope that I will get a chance to wear it again, specifically to a star trek convention. Okay, I'm a big sci-fi geek. We aren't even going to get into Doctor Who and all the other obsessions of mine.

What did you dress as for Halloween?

Trick or Treat

Outfit Details:
Jacket: Forever21
blue shirt: thrifted
button up shirt: Kohl's
skirt: thrifted and shortened
tights: target
shoes: Forever21
Necklace and wallet: hottopic
earrings and bracelet: Icing

Despite my initial girly appearance I still hold on tightly to the Gothic style of my teenage years. Most of my older clothes tend to have been purchased from hottopic and are the color black. Since before I was an official teen I would just wear jeans and graphic T-shirts. My style has evolved the most in the last two years. I grew more comfortable with dressing in, what was considered out of the normal where I live. Because I live far away from cities and hip joints I rarely see anyone else in dresses, skirts, or heels. But I've learned to embrace the kind of clothes I like, even if they aren't extremely flattering, but just that I'm comfortable in them, or when it comes to some of my favorites shoes, that I am very uncomfortable in them.

I have absolutely no idea why I like bats, preferably not real ones in the house. My room tends to looks somewhere between an enchanted forest or a haunted house. Spiders don't bother me either. I've never been problematic about bugs, because I grew up in an old house. However, I do freak out when it comes to wasps, bees, or hornets - it's every man for himself. I'm not such a wimp that I won't kill them, though sometimes I have left family members defenseless as I flee the room. Hey! You have to be prepared to fight off a wasp.

Halloween has always been a good excuse to dress however you want to. It means different things for different people. For some it means being what you have always wanted to be, others it's a simply thing of looking cute, sometimes its about being out of the norm. Sometimes it's about dressing up to show off your amazing taste, which if you are curious is my choice. I suppose the dressing as what you have always wanted to be applies as well. But that isn't for this post, I'll show off my real Halloween costume in my next post.

Happy Halloween a day late

<^^> Misha - that should look like a bat.
