Despite my initial girly appearance I still hold on tightly to the Gothic style of my teenage years. Most of my older clothes tend to have been purchased from hottopic and are the color black. Since before I was an official teen I would just wear jeans and graphic T-shirts. My style has evolved the most in the last two years. I grew more comfortable with dressing in, what was considered out of the normal where I live. Because I live far away from cities and hip joints I rarely see anyone else in dresses, skirts, or heels. But I've learned to embrace the kind of clothes I like, even if they aren't extremely flattering, but just that I'm comfortable in them, or when it comes to some of my favorites shoes, that I am very uncomfortable in them.
I have absolutely no idea why I like bats, preferably not real ones in the house. My room tends to looks somewhere between an enchanted forest or a haunted house. Spiders don't bother me either. I've never been problematic about bugs, because I grew up in an old house. However, I do freak out when it comes to wasps, bees, or hornets - it's every man for himself. I'm not such a wimp that I won't kill them, though sometimes I have left family members defenseless as I flee the room. Hey! You have to be prepared to fight off a wasp.
Halloween has always been a good excuse to dress however you want to. It means different things for different people. For some it means being what you have always wanted to be, others it's a simply thing of looking cute, sometimes its about being out of the norm. Sometimes it's about dressing up to show off your amazing taste, which if you are curious is my choice. I suppose the dressing as what you have always wanted to be applies as well. But that isn't for this post, I'll show off my real Halloween costume in my next post.
Happy Halloween a day late
<^^> Misha - that should look like a bat.
