Shawl: gift brought back from Kenya
Dress: Rue21
Belt: Thrifted
Purse: gift brought back from Jordan
Tights: Target
Shoes: Belgium
Necklace & Earrings: Made by me
Bracelet: Lace Affair

Flowers & Butterfly: craft store

I don't always dress thinking, what kind of things do I want to wear today or what would be comfortable. It's always more like who do I want to be? Never really a person, but more like I want to be a gypsy, I want to be a fairy, I want to look enchanted like I walked out of a fairy tale.

We had delightfully warm weather a couple of week(s) ago. It was in the sixties for two days. It gave me a small taste of spring, which I was desperately craving for. I went hiking into the corn fields and some of the land was flooded from a recent rain. (Recent isn't the word, because it always rains) It was still frozen in the shade and looked like an out of place lake. I didn't go onto the ice, I was wearing the wrong shoes, which desperately need cleaned now.

A lot of this outfit is made up of things that I have just accumulated over the years. Many are from different countries. The purse and shawl were presents from family, which they purchased on mission trips. The mood ring is probably from some travel shop in the south. The shoes and cardigan are from Belgium, which I purchased when I lived there. I'm a sucker for different places, even if its just an hour away. That was something infused in me by my parents who took us on many road trips. I hope my feet are never firmly planted in the same spot for long.

Borrowed Skirts

Outfit Details:
Coat: Kohl's
Dress: Lace Affair
Lace Vest: TJmaxx
Skirt: Borrowed from my sister (until she realizes it's gone)
Earrings: Body Central
Necklace: Vintage
Shoes: Target
Puppy: Ollie

I found this skirt in a closet, it wasn't until after I wore it for these pictures that I found out it's my sisters. I'm just keeping it safe for her. I love its metallic sheen and how it bends to the wind. I didn't have anywhere to go, but I just liked dressing up. It was such a fun day for pictures and my little puppy agreed. Some days he's just so photogenic.

Dressed like a Gypsy

Outfit Details:
Coat: Kohl's
Dress: Body Central
Belt: taken from a dress from Ebay
Vest: Thrifted
Shoes: Target
Purse: Charlotte Russe
Dragon Chain Necklace: Made by me
Longer Necklace & Earrings & Ring: Forever21
Bracelets: Charming Charlie, Belgium, Icing

I'll admit I've been listening to too much of the hunchback of notre dame. I dressed especially with the purpose to be a little gypsy-ish. My mome saw me before I left and said, "You look like a little gypsy." It made me so happy.

Another day and another climb in a dress. It was actually really difficult to climb in that dress and hard to do it modestly and especially in heels. At least this time I wasn't wearing tights to snag. One of my favorite pair of tights is near ruined from all the runs. I never really do learn when it comes to me and my trees. Actually you haven't met my tree yet. It's the best of the bunch and one day I'll try to capture it in pictures.

Guest of the Wind

Outfit Details:
Coat: Kmart
Coverup & Dress & Earrings: Forever21
Boots: Target
Purse: TJmaxx
Ring: gift

It might have been a little too cold for this dress, but I've been anxious to wear it since I bought it. I had trouble trying to figure just how to wear it at first, but while trying on something different I had a flash. I paired with these boots and it just seemed to mesh. Funny how something so simple can change a whole outfit. Also, I liked how the wind seemed to add something mysterious to the entire look.

Is it just me or has this winter seemed especially long? Shouldn't it already be spring? I think the birds agree, they haven't stopped crying for the past two weeks. I'm not one for heat, but I still have cabin fever from all this cold. In case you didn't know this, today was the first "real" day of spring. I couldn't tell, it snowed on me. I'll stop complaining, I'm sure spring will be here soon.

The Trees Move

Outfit Details:
Coat & Red Tank top: Kohl's
Sweater: Thrifted
Jeans & Boots & Scarf: Hottopic
Necklace: Forever21
Earrings: Charming Charlie
Ring: Belgium
Puppy: Ollie

For once I was climbing trees in jeans. Normally I prefer to climb in skirts and tights, snagging my tights in the process. Prefer isn't really the word. I get the urge to climb when I'm in skirts-there that's better.

This shirt was only 25 cents. It was a quick purchase, made mainly so that I have an over-sized sweater at my hands. If spring ever comes, I mean when spring finally comes I'll have to put it away, but I'm enjoying my winter wardrobe right now. At the same time I'm itching to start wearing sleeveless shirts. I really should keep this outfit in mind for next Christmas  I don't think I intended for it to seem so themed. Ah, it's too late now. Hope you all have a wonderful beginning to this week and that spring comes soon.
