Reims and Cardiff

Doctor Who Experience in Cardiff, Wales
Outfit Details:
Shirt: Ruche
Skirt & Boots: TJmaxx
Jacket: Wetseal

Our next stop was France, but not before I got to go to Cardiff and visit the Doctor Who Experience! Cardiff was breathtaking and all the Doctor Who moments were a serious plus. I got to go with a fellow Whovian, which always makes the experience even more enticing. But Cardiff was just a day trip and after the UK, we hustled over to France.

While we stayed in Paris we took a few day trips elsewhere and one was to the historical city of Reims-also well known for their champagne.

When I first got those shoes, probably five or so years ago, I couldn't even walk in them. Now, though, I've managed to master it and who can resist such Victorian splendor?

Burnt Orange

Outfit Details:
Airforce Coat & Necklace: Vintage
Shirt: Versona (birthday present)
Skirt: TJmaxx
Scarf & Ring: Belgium
Infinity Love Belt: Ruche
Earrings: Rue21
Purse: bought off ebay, but originally from Hottopic

I should have something amazing to say, but it's been a rough week and I'm not feeling very inspiring. But I didn't want to forgo my outfit post, mainly out of loyalty to myself, so here it is. As for the outfit, strange as it is for a redhead-unnaturally I'll admit-I love this color on me, especially when I have earrings to match.

Winter Walks

Coat & Belt: Kohl's
New Kensington Embellished Blouse: Ruche
Skirt: TJ Maxx
Tights: Target
Art Deco Diva Earrings: Laceaffair
Jewelry: Homemade
Scarf: from Belgium

Snow is so strange. From afar it looks like peace and like a bit of magic, just out of reach but perfect in those first few hours as it falls from the skies. However, when you stand among it, it's cold and wet. Some days it sticks to everything and sounds like Styrofoam when you walk on it ech! It's like the step from behind the door to in front of it changes everything. That being said, some days it still can be lovely, whether watching it from a window or  standing right in the middle of it. One of my favorite holiday traditions is a walk about my small town, wistfully covered in snow. I haven't had a chance yet for this walk, but I think it's going to have to happen soon. A cup of hot chocolate in hand, gloves and mitts, and warm socks and it's time from a winter walk.

Puppy Sidekick

Coat & Cardigan: Kohl's
Tights & Gloves: Target
Infinity Love Belt: Ruche
Jewelry: homemade

With winter comes the sudden longing not to have to go outside for pictures, I don't mind the season or the snow that it brings with it, but it's the lacking hours of daylight that get to me. As I work nights it makes the glimpses of the sun I see all the more important, The sun is barely up when I leave work, and sets before I even wake up. That being said, I still enjoy winter and relish the days I'm awake early enough to capture natural light.

This dress is so fun, as always I search for outfits with unusual details like the skirt. It's easy to dress up or down, and it's been wore to birthday celebrations, baby showers, and shopping adventures - all very successfully I'd say. But, I'd have to say, that my favorite accessory is the little puppy by my side. Seriously, I don't know how people can not love animals. This little guy, he's like my sidekick.

A Step Back in Time

Wendy Dress/Top: Lace Affair
Boots & Blazer: Target
Necklace: made by me
Ring: Vintage

I love vintage inspired clothes, which is why stores like Ruche, Lace Affair, and Modcloth are my favorite online stores. This outfit just feels vintage, whether it's the Wendy dress or the skirt or rather both. I love anything and everything that can make you feel as if you've been transported to a different time, it's like magic.

Autumn Colors

Outfit Details:
Sweater: Kohl's
Shirt: stolen from my mom
Infinity Love Belt: Ruche
Tights: Target
Boots: TJmaxx
Necklace & Purse: Charming Charlie's
Bracelet: Forever21
Earrings: Body Central

For some strange reason my camera was only giving my grainy pictures, but somehow it goes with the outfit. I ended up wearing this to a bonfire, the weather and the outfit all merged together to be a perfect piece. Plus we all know that I like themed outfits, at least on some level, and this one felt so fall themed. The only complaint I'd have, is that the material wrinkles like crazy.

Three Days

Outfit Details:
Sweater & Jeans: Kohl's
Boots: Target
Earrings: Forever21
Necklace: Vintage
Rings: Europe
Braclet: Lace Affair

I wore this outfit three times in one week - but don't tell anyone. Each day played part of a slight variation, the main thing that remained the same was the shirt. It took a trip into the city, played a part in a lazy day at home, and ventured to the vet so that a kitten (Myka) could get her shots. Outfits like this - they are keepers.

At First Light

Outfit Details:
Jacket: Wetseal
Dress: Forever21
Scarf & Tights: Target
Boots: TJmaxx
Earrings: Gift
Necklace: Vintage
Bracelets: France, Lace Affair, gift, and Claire's
Ring: Belgium

If I'm going to be honest I'd tell you that the days tend to blend into each other. I often forget whether it's Thursday or Friday - or even worse not realizing it's Tuesday. The day I stumbled outside to take these pictures I had hardly slept, having a wedding the day before and then something early in the morning my lack of sleep might have gotten to me. But having been up since five I took advantage of the early morning light - which is just gorgeous lighting all around. I took time curling my hair and made a mess in my room trying to find an outfit - honestly that's not too unusual. In the pictures the weather looks pleasant, perfect for a stroll, while the real deal was so cold I was huffing and puffing and jumping around like a little girl. After I went onto my day, and fulfilled my obligations I fell into bed and disregarded any leftover hours of daylight. That all being said there is something awesome about waking up with the sun. Heaven knows - me being a night owl - that doesn't happen very often, but the rare opportunity isn't lost on me.

P.S. I'm such a sucker for fall colors.
