Welcome, Says Maine

If you follow me on Instagram you might have long been aware of my move from Ohio to coastal Maine. It only happened three months ago, almost four, and finally, my blog is a little closer to the present. Maine has been an adventure, as I hoped it would be. In forty-eight hours upon arriving in the state with no job and no place to live I gained both. Now it's mostly settling in and learning about this new world. It's what I enjoy most, learning new ways of life.

Maine is a cooler climate, surrounded by rocky beaches and of course my mermaid side loves this. It's overrun with used bookstores, which my nerd side adores; and it's gorgeous with parks and preserves everywhere . So here begins a new chapter, overwhelmed with Maine sights and thoughts. Welcome to Maine!

I often have little followers when I take pictures. Myka just kind of loves everyone and loves to trail along for pictures. 

I'm not much of a stilettos girl and, unfortunately, I have shoes that never have gotten much use-like these-mainly because for the longest time I didn't quite know how to walk in them. But finally after owning them for probably five years they got a good walk in them. The rest of the outfit has gotten a lot of use, and the skirt is probably my favorite or at least top three.

I might have mentioned before that I tend to dress in themes. I don't really pair clothes together rather than decide that I want to be punk or fairy-tale looking. The idea starts early in the morning and often dictates my eye makeup to my music choices. This was one of those days,

Early spring is one of my favorite times of year, whether it's for long walks or climbing trees to find the perfect reading spot. But my absolute favorite is when my magnolia tree blooms; it makes everything a little more magical.
