Borrowed Skirts

Outfit Details:
Coat: Kohl's
Dress: Lace Affair
Lace Vest: TJmaxx
Skirt: Borrowed from my sister (until she realizes it's gone)
Earrings: Body Central
Necklace: Vintage
Shoes: Target
Puppy: Ollie

I found this skirt in a closet, it wasn't until after I wore it for these pictures that I found out it's my sisters. I'm just keeping it safe for her. I love its metallic sheen and how it bends to the wind. I didn't have anywhere to go, but I just liked dressing up. It was such a fun day for pictures and my little puppy agreed. Some days he's just so photogenic.

Guest of the Wind

Outfit Details:
Coat: Kmart
Coverup & Dress & Earrings: Forever21
Boots: Target
Purse: TJmaxx
Ring: gift

It might have been a little too cold for this dress, but I've been anxious to wear it since I bought it. I had trouble trying to figure just how to wear it at first, but while trying on something different I had a flash. I paired with these boots and it just seemed to mesh. Funny how something so simple can change a whole outfit. Also, I liked how the wind seemed to add something mysterious to the entire look.

Is it just me or has this winter seemed especially long? Shouldn't it already be spring? I think the birds agree, they haven't stopped crying for the past two weeks. I'm not one for heat, but I still have cabin fever from all this cold. In case you didn't know this, today was the first "real" day of spring. I couldn't tell, it snowed on me. I'll stop complaining, I'm sure spring will be here soon.

Lazy Days

Coat & Jeans: Kohl's
Shirt & Shoes: Hot topic
Necklace: Gift (originally from Icing, I think)
Sweater: Thrifted/hand me downs (Target, originally)
Gloves: Target

I normally don't photograph last minute outfits. But the outdoors were calling to me, so I grabbed my tripod and camera and took a hike. I also had a few companions to make the freezing cold and wind a little bit more enjoyable. Though they aren't photographed, I had earmuffs that I wore for all the walking. Otherwise, my ears would have been bright pink. I keep on underestimating the wind. I look outside and see that the wind is barely moving the tree's branches and decide to venture out. As soon as the door shuts, locking me into the cold, the wind picks up and nearly blows me away. I love the wind, but the freezing temperatures, made me think about breaking up with it. Also the white stuff in my hair is snow, not dandruff.

Movie Nights of Lime Green

Outfit Details:
Coat: Kohl's
Shirt: Forever21
Skirt & Shoes & Tights & Gloves & Hat: Target
Earrings: Body Central
Necklace: World Market
Purse: Charlotte Russe

This was a Target outfit. I scored the skirt and the hat for ten dollars at target. The wind was ridiculous these last few days and unfortunately it was rather difficult to take pictures. In between these photos I ended up chasing after my hat when the wind blew it away. To bad it hadn't been caught on camera, it would have been hilarious. Teaches me to wear hats on a windy days.

I've had the shirt from Forever21 sitting in my closet for a few months and I only remember having worn it once before, I have no idea why. Now it is definitely going to make many more appearences, especially because it goes so well with my hat.

I formed this outfit for a late movie night, though I ended up switching to jeans because I was just a little too cold in the thin skirt. It'll be a great skirt for spring and summer.

Gosh, I can't believe it's March already.

Professor Patches

Outfit Details:
Airforce Coat: Vintage
Sweater: Target (thrifted/hand me downs)
Dress: Spotted Moth
Tights & Shoes & Hat: Target
Scarf: Belgium
Purse: Charlotte Russe
Earrings: Body Central
Puppy: Ollie

My ears are as red as my hair. The hat offered little protection from the snow and wind. I love corn fields, especially after the harvest and preferably when there isn't too much mud to track back into the house. The frozen ground offered a perfect traipsing land. While the bitter, freezing weather might have derailed my plans of exploring I love running around with my puppies.

This dress is one of my favorites that I own. However, I haven't worn it as much as I would like because of practicallity. It's a little too light for winter and short, especially with the wind. I tucked another skirt underneath this time I wore it, and it made it much more comfortable. I love colors of nature, I love nature in case I haven't made that clear yet. Even as I look over these pictures, my heart speeds up at the thought of the outdoors. I'm such a geek for that stuff. As girly as I am when it comes to clothes, hair, and makeup I am still that country girl I was raised to be. The one that had the whole world to be my playground. I was so spoiled.

This sweater was a donation from my friend. As it no longer fit her, I got it. I have a soft spot for professor elbow patches. I also thought that the sweater went perfectly with the undertones of this dress.
