Welcome to the Sixties

Outfit Details:
Jacket: TJ Maxx
Lace Vest: Forever21
Belt & Shoes: Kohl's
Necklace: Vintage
Rings: Vintage & Lead the Aweigh Ring-Modcloth

Something about this outfit brings me to the sixties, which then brings me to the song from Hairspray-"Welcome to the Sixties." That song is just one from the soundtrack that me and my best friend love to blare from my car, normally with the sunroof open and the windows down.

Shopping online is always tricky, things are often hard to digest online. Modcloth has, by far, one of the best online websites to shop at. Their review system is awesome-as you can see the other customers in their frock and get their opinion. This dress, I bought before it had gathered any reviews, so it was a complete gamble, but it really panned out. (Here, here, and here, are a few other ways I've worn it.) On this occasion I wanted something simple and comfy for walking around a local fair. It was also a warm day, so it needed to breathe, and this was a good candidate. I just pulled my hair into a faux-bob and took to the pavement. Some outfits just seem to stick with you more than others.

Stripes and Seaglass

Outfit Details:
Striped Cross-Back Skater Dress & Belt & Shoes: Kohl's
Shawl & Earrings: Forever21
Bracelet: gift
Purse: Charlotte Russe
Necklace: Vintage

The last day of our vacation I knew I wanted to wear something comfortable, for the drive home. While I hadn't worn this before, I knew this dress would be a good choice. I ended up having to safety pin the straps to shorten them, the downside of having a short torso. But other than that, it worked out really well. These pictures were taken right in front of the hotel we stayed at, which was lovely and the weather was perfect for pictures. You have to love the beach.

Toile in the Cemetary

Outfit Details:
Jacket: Wetseal
Necklace: made by me
Belt & Shoes: Kohl's
Purse: H&M

A pretty and new dress means that it must be taken out and worn and photos should be taken if possible. This cemetery is so pretty and I'm surprised I hadn't found it before for pictures. This dress is absolutely gorgeous, but the downside is that it's white and as a clumsy girl I know that one day I'm going to spill something on it. I forgot to get a picture of the back but it has a V back which just makes me love it all the more. Paired with the bright red lipstick and an edgy leather jacket its the perfect outfit. With this outfit who knows what is possible.
