This is still one of my favorite places. Being back in my home town for a couple of months this summer meant I got to walk down memory lane. This spot was a frequent participant in some shenanigans with my best friend (meaning we took many walks here and told each other scary stories).

Actually, October is when it's most beautiful. The trees there are the most vibrant. Til next year, little cemetery.

I really don't wear heels as much as I'd like. If I do happen to don a pair it tends to be this one. They're surprisingly comfortable and unique. Perhaps it's time that I invest in another universal pair of boots. These are starting to get scuffed up and I fear the day I must put them aside. Until that day I imagine I'll be strutting the streets with their extra kick.

I had been looking for this exact type of a dress for a long while, so when I happened upon it in the clearance section on an evening out I couldn't resist - even if it was too big and I was without a sewing machine. On my trek to Ohio near the holidays, after these pictures were taken, my mother did me a great favor and made the alterations for me. It was the perfect addition to my fall wardrobe - but of course it will never be limited to one season.

Autumn wins every time when it comes to my favorite season -  the warm colors and the slight chill in the air - it's my favorite. While these pictures attest to how behind my blog is, they also are the evidence for my love of the season. In one of my favorite spots of my home town, at the peak of the season, how could anyone not fall in love with autumn?

One thing every person should own: a leather jacket. The end. Or rather pleather. Seriously, this might be one of the best investments of my life. Between it and bright red lipstick how could one go wrong? 

These photos also might show you how behind I am in posting everything. We'll just have a taste of summer for a while-who could really mind that? Eventually I'm sure we'll all find the cold, especially as it snowed today.

Cemeteries and Galaxies to Explore

The perfect days - weather wise - are always cloudy with a touch of wind. There is that scent in the air, something that can't be described as anything other than the wind. There are moments when you swear you need a jacket, but somehow manage to keep it off for most of your journey. On these days I could sit under the shadow of some tree for hours, in fact I have. Years ago I don't think I understood just how much moments like that meant to me. But more and more I've realized how so little can give you peace like this; and whenever the chance comes I know I need to breathe it in. It probably sounds strange to some but cemeteries are the perfect place to breath it all in, to relax. Despite the morbid sound, cemeteries are quiet and those that visit them don't come to shout and jump. They're little safe spots scattered over the globe, ever so silent.

Taking pictures of yourself can be tricky at best. But it can also be awkward. Standing some random place, having strangers walk by while you pose in front a camera, sometimes running back and forth to reset the timer. It's taken some time, but I've been learning not to feel too awkward when taking pictures. Still, I tend to surf for places that aren't too crowded.

This outfit was one of those outfits that took too much time to put together. My room was a mess with skirts and shirts flung everywhere. But I like how it came out in the end. As always I might have looked a little fancy for just going out to shop, but my fancy meter has changed over the years and I've realized that fancy for me is really, really fancy to everyone else. I'm okay with it.

A pretty and new dress means that it must be taken out and worn and photos should be taken if possible. This cemetery is so pretty and I'm surprised I hadn't found it before for pictures. This dress is absolutely gorgeous, but the downside is that it's white and as a clumsy girl I know that one day I'm going to spill something on it. I forgot to get a picture of the back but it has a V back which just makes me love it all the more. Paired with the bright red lipstick and an edgy leather jacket its the perfect outfit. With this outfit who knows what is possible.

Vintage Air-force Ring

Surprisingly this outfit was worn in June, it's been a mild summer, which I've liked. I wore it for coffee and took a turn about looking for a good place for pictures. Funny thing is that I found a place I've taken pictures at before. (here.) For some reason cemetery are always good places to take pictures.
